During our event "Being a Scientist and a Leader: How Do Manage Your Projects?" we had over 40 alumni from 5 continents sharing their experiences in projectmanagement. Main insights: time management is a thing, empathy and communication are the key, and don't let perfect get in the way of good.

Virtual AlumNode Get-Together, 5th November, 2020

With the help of Klaus Tschira Foundation we were able to fund six joint projects of alumni last year.

First Virtual Get-Together "Being a Scientist and a Leader. How Do Manage Your Projects?"

During one hour of getting to know the community better, we learned about the funded AlumNode projects. Project representatives and leaders on the panel were

  • Marcel Pawlowski,
  • Dorcas Addo,
  • Pankaj Baranwal,
  • Oluwasefunmi Arogundade, and
  • Konrad Stopsack.

Torsten, project leader of "Workshop on Science Communication" could not attend the panel, however also successfully finalized his project.

Our hosts Elena & Martin managed the interactive part, where alumni shared their experiences in breakout rooms.

We are already planning another event, where you will have the chance to get to know your peers for potential funded projects in 2021. The open call for our next funding round will follow soon!

Mix&Match with your peers

We encourage you to sign up for the group "Mix & Match" to see who else is interested in collaborating. Also, we share infos there on the funding round and our next event on January, 14th 2021.

Hint: Connect with your community and share your story on "My Career Path". Leadership Academy Fellow Sibylle just reached out and admits that research is her life and she has the idea of planning a creative writing workshop on "Death & Dying".

Please contact us via contact@alumnode.org, if you have questions or ideas you want to share with us and your community.
